Bill Ferny is a disreputable Man of Bree who acts as an agent of Saruman and the Nazgûl during the War of the Ring. Living near Bree's south-gate, he sells information about the hobbits to the enemy and later sells them the pony Bill, before becoming a watchman at the Brandywine Bridge under Saruman's occupation of the Shire. He appears among the Bree characters of Peter Jackson's The Fellowship of the Ring.
