Commander Malendol is an Elf of Eregion who leads the defence of Ost-in-Edhil in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, set in the Second Age. Manipulated by Annatar into distrusting Celebrimbor, he was freed from Sauron's influence by Galadriel and ultimately fell while standing with Celebrimbor against Sauron. Portrayed by Simon Haines, Malendol was created for the series and is non-canonical.
