Olwyn is a retired shield maiden of Rohan who serves as guardian to Hera, daughter of King Helm Hammerhand. A character created for the anime film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, she once fought to defend Rohan's borders and now watches over the headstrong young Hera through the conflict with the Dunlendings.
