Otho Sackville-Baggins was a Hobbit of the Shire, the husband of Lobelia Sackville-Baggins and father of Lotho. Taking the names of both his parents, Longo Baggins and Camellia Sackville, he effectively founded the Sackville-Baggins family and headed it for many years.
As Bilbo Baggins's paternal first cousin and next of kin, Otho long had designs on Bag End, and with Lobelia he was found auctioning off its contents when Bilbo returned from his adventure. He died before Lobelia finally acquired the property, and so never enjoyed the inheritance he had coveted.
Otho appears without dialogue in extended editions of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and briefly during the auction at the close of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. This overview is licensed CC BY-SA; see the Timeline for chronology.
