David Stephen Caruso, born January 7, 1956, is an American actor and producer who reached prominence through his roles in crime dramas and action films. He gained recognition as Detective John Kelly in "NYPD Blue" and later as the stoic Lieutenant Horatio Caine in "CSI: Miami," a role that defined his career for a decade. Caruso's filmography includes early roles in "An Officer and a Gentleman," "First Blood," and "Twins," transitioning to more substantial parts in "King of New York" and "Kiss of Death." After "CSI: Miami," he retired from acting to focus on the art world and co-owns a clothing store in South Miami. His personal life includes marriages to Cheri Maugans and Rachel Ticotin, and relationships with Liza Marquez, together raising several children.
