Frank Darabont

Frank Darabont, born in France to Hungarian refugees of the 1956 uprising, is an American director, screenwriter, and producer whose career is marked by adaptation and collaboration, most notably with Stephen King. His films "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Green Mile," and "The Mist" have earned him three Academy Award nominations and a Golden Globe nod. In 2010, Darabont ventured into television, executive producing the inaugural season of AMC's "The Walking Dead," cementing his influence across media.
