Jim Sturgess
James Anthony Sturgess, born on May 16, 1978, is an English actor and singer-songwriter whose career took off with his role as Jude in the musical drama "Across the Universe" (2007). He cemented his status with the lead role of Ben Campbell in the financial thriller "21" (2008) and continued to diversify his portfolio with roles in crime dramas and historical epics. Notable among these is his appearance alongside Harrison Ford in "Crossing Over" (2009) and his starring role in Peter Weir's "The Way Back" (2010). Sturgess's versatility is further underscored by his performance in the ambitious sci-fi mosaic "Cloud Atlas" (2012).
