John Hawkes, born John Marvin Perkins, is an American actor and musician who co-founded Big State Productions Theatre Company, adopting the stage name to avoid confusion with another actor. His breakthrough came with "Me and You and Everyone We Know" (2005), winning critical acclaim and festival awards.
