
Mark Margolis
Mark Margolis, an American actor with a career spanning from 1976 until his death in 2023, left an indelible mark on both film and television. After studying drama in New York with Stella Adler and at the Actors Studio, he became known for his memorable supporting roles in Scarface and Darren Aronofsky’s provocative films, including π, Requiem for a Dream, and The Wrestler. Aronofsky wrote the character of Father Avila in The Fountain specifically for Margolis. His television work was equally prolific, featuring recurring roles in The Equalizer, Oz, Law & Order, and Breaking Bad, alongside a memorable appearance in Quantum Leap.
