Matthew Broderick
Matthew Broderick, born in 1962, rose to prominence with a Tony Award for Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs" and a breakthrough role in "WarGames." His role in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" cemented his status as a teen idol, followed by significant roles in "Glory," "The Lion King," and "Election." A prolific stage actor, Broderick won two more Tonys, one for "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and another nomination for "The Producers." His career was marred by a tragic accident in Ireland in 1985, which led to a conviction for dangerous driving, though he was spared jail time. Since 1997, Broderick has been married to actress Sarah Jessica Parker, and they have three children.
