Mieko Harada

Mieko Harada, born December 26, 1958, in Tokyo, has graced Japanese screens since 1974, embodying a range of characters in films and television. Her standout roles include Lady Kaede in Akira Kurosawa's epic "Ran" and the voice of Kaguya in "InuYasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass." Harada's performances earned her Best Actress accolades at the Hochi Film Awards for "Village of Dreams" and "Begging for Love." Since 1987, she has been married to actor Ryo Ishibashi, with whom she shares three children, balancing a prolific career with a personal life rooted in collaboration and mutual artistic growth.
