Russell Crowe

Russell Ira Crowe, born in 1964 in New Zealand, spent his formative years in Australia, where he launched his acting career with a breakout role in "Romper Stomper." International acclaim followed with his performances in "L.A. Confidential" and "The Insider," but it was the role of the Roman general Maximus in "Gladiator" that won him an Academy Award and global stardom. His portrayal of mathematician John Nash in "A Beautiful Mind" further cemented his status, and he went on to star in diverse projects like "Master and Commander," "Cinderella Man," and "American Gangster." Crowe ventured into directing with "The Water Diviner" while maintaining a robust acting portfolio in films such as "Les Misérables," "Man of Steel," and "Thor: Love and Thunder."
