Seiji Miyaguchi, born in 1913 and passing away in 1985 from lung cancer, was a Japanese actor whose career included iconic roles in Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" as Kyuzo, the swordmaster despite never having wielded a sword before, and as a yakuza boss in "Ikiru." He also starred in Masaki Kobayashi's "Kwaidan," cementing his status as one of Japan's most versatile and respected actors.
