Sofia Boutella

Sofia Boutella, born in Algiers' Bab El Oued in 1982, is an Algerian dancer and actress whose career has spanned hip-hop dance and high-profile film roles. Raised in a secular home by an architect mother and jazz musician father, Boutella fled Algeria with her family during the civil war at age ten, settling in France. She joined the national rhythmic gymnastics team at 18 before transitioning to dance and modeling. Her breakout role as the fierce Gazelle in "Kingsman: The Secret Service" heralded a string of notable performances, including the alien Jaylah in "Star Trek Beyond" and the chilling Princess Ahmanet in "The Mummy." In "Atomic Blonde," she starred as the undercover French agent Delphine Lasalle, showcasing her versatility and star power.
