Fandom’s local-admin-fiefdom problem destroyed many wikis. What can a Team not do to a contributor? What appeal exists from local Team decisions short of full Arbiter escalation? Term limits? Successor-selection mechanisms that can’t be gamed by a clique?
The intra-Team appeal layer is particularly important. Arbiter escalation is heavy and slow by design; without an intermediate step, contributors with legitimate grievances often disengage rather than escalate.
