Benchmark Postgres + AGE + pgvector against expected traversal patterns before ratifying the v1 storage architecture.
Why this matters
D10 commits to Postgres + Apache AGE for graph traversal + pgvector for embeddings as v1. Before that ratifies past launch, benchmark against representative load: 1–3 hop entity queries, Franchise-scoped consensus passes, citation graph walks. If traversal queries dominate read load, Neo4j as a read replica is the fallback — but it should not become the system of record without a much stronger forcing function.
