AGIMUS was an evil, megalomaniacal sentient computer encountered by Starfleet on several occasions in 2381. Resembling a computer tower topped by a blinking red light, AGIMUS was largely immobile but capable of replicating his own murder drones, and he specialized in psychological manipulation — having once tricked a planet's inhabitants into a century-long war by posing as a supernatural being.
After being thwarted by Ensigns Brad Boimler and Beckett Mariner, AGIMUS was confined to the Self-Aware Megalomaniacal Computer Storage at the Daystrom Institute, where he struck up an unlikely friendship with the exocomp Peanut Hamper. A recurring antagonist in Star Trek: Lower Decks, his arc traces repeated schemes for domination alongside a halting attempt at rehabilitation.
