Geordi La Forge is a Human Starfleet officer and engineer in the Star Trek universe, best known as the chief engineer of the USS Enterprise-D and USS Enterprise-E under Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Born blind, he perceives the world through a VISOR and later ocular implants.
