Lenara Kahn was a female Trill scientist of the late 24th century who worked at the Trill Science Ministry and was joined to the Kahn symbiont. In 2372 she visited Deep Space 9 to field-test a technique for creating artificial wormholes.
There she became reacquainted with Jadzia Dax; their former hosts, Torias Dax and Nilani Kahn, had been married, and rekindled feelings led to a poignant confrontation with the Trill taboo against reassociation before the two parted. She later helped devise a phase-conjugate graviton method to secure the Bajoran wormhole. Lenara appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, portrayed by Susanna Thompson.
