Samanthan "Sam" Rutherford is a Human Starfleet engineer and one of the main characters of Star Trek: Lower Decks, serving aboard the California-class USS Cerritos. He is distinguished by the oculus, a Vulcan cybernetic implant covering the left side of his skull.
