Zero, also known as Zero the Third, was a Medusan — an energy-based, non-corporeal, genderless lifeform — who lived during the late 24th century. Possessing telepathy and a natural aptitude for navigation, Zero wore a makeshift containment suit in order to safely interact with corporeal beings.
After being kidnapped from their hive mind by Kazon slavers, Zero escaped and joined the crew of the USS Protostar as navigator and later medical officer, forming close bonds with Gwyn and Dal R'El, and eventually served aboard the USS Voyager-A. Zero appears in Star Trek: Prodigy.
