Benthic, better known by the nickname "Two Tubes," was a male Tognath mercenary pilot who became a leading figure among Saw Gerrera's Partisans during the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire. His nickname, shared with his eggmate and brother Edrio, derived from the twin breathing hoses of the apparatus that let his Tognath physiology process oxygen atmospheres.
Born on Yar Togna, Benthic was driven into exile as a refugee after the Empire conquered his homeworld. He first struck back at the Empire alongside Enfys Nest's Cloud-Riders before he and Edrio joined the Partisans, rising to become Gerrera's second-in-command and, after Gerrera's death, the leader of the surviving fighters.
Hardened by his people's suffering and resistant to pain and interrogation, Benthic embraced the Partisans' uncompromising methods.
