Din Djarin, widely known as "the Mandalorian" or simply "Mando," was a human male Mandalorian warrior and bounty hunter active during the era of the New Republic. Orphaned as a child and raised as a foundling by the Children of the Watch, he swore to walk the Way of the Mandalore and made his name as a member of the Bounty Hunters' Guild in the Outer Rim.
Hired to retrieve a mysterious asset, Djarin instead rescued and became the guardian of the Force-sensitive child Grogu, forming a clan of two. Their journey brought him into conflict with the Imperial remnant led by Moff Gideon and into alliance with figures such as Boba Fett, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Greef Karga. He came to wield the Darksaber and helped lead the reconquest of Mandalore before formally adopting Grogu as his son.
