Din Grogu, known simply as Grogu until his adoption by Din Djarin, was a male Force-sensitive child belonging to the same mysterious species as the Jedi Grand Master Yoda. Born around 41 BBY, he was raised as an initiate at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and survived the fall of the Jedi Order, after which he was hidden away for decades.
Rediscovered during the New Republic era and sought by an Imperial remnant, the child was rescued by the bounty hunter Din Djarin and became a Mandalorian foundling. Briefly trained in the ways of the Force by Luke Skywalker, Grogu ultimately chose to return to Djarin, was formally adopted after the liberation of Mandalore, and began training to become a Mandalorian himself.
