Fennec Shand was a human female bounty hunter, elite mercenary, and Master Assassin who worked for the leading crime syndicates during the age of the Galactic Empire. Skilled and ruthless, she rose through the criminal underworld to become a renowned assassin for organizations including the Hutt Clan, and one of her earliest bounties pitted her against the veteran hunter Cad Bane over the clone Omega.
After the fall of the Empire, many of Shand's employers were imprisoned by the New Republic and she became a fugitive, hiding out on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. Hunted down and left for dead by the rookie Toro Calican, she was rescued by the renowned bounty hunter Boba Fett, to whom she became indebted and worked as his partner in crime.
