Riyo Chuchi was a female Pantoran politician who represented the moon Pantora in the Senate of the Galactic Republic and, later, that of the Galactic Empire. Young and soft-spoken at the start of her career, she grew into an outspoken and principled leader over the course of the Clone Wars.
Chuchi negotiated peace with the Talz leader Thi-Sen to end Chairman Chi Cho's One-Day War on Orto Plutonia, and worked with Chairman Notluwiski Papanoida to resolve disputes with the Trade Federation. Under the Empire she became a leading advocate for the rights of the former clone troopers, opposing the Imperial Defense Recruitment Bill and helping expose Admiral Rampart's role in the destruction of the Kamino cloning facilities.
