Ser Kevan Lannister is a recurring character across Game of Thrones, the younger brother of Lord Tywin Lannister and one of the most loyal officers of the Lannister armies during the War of the Five Kings. Second son of Lord Tytos Lannister and husband of Dorna of House Swyft, he is father to Lancel, Willem and Martyn, and serves throughout as a steady adviser and battlefield commander at his brother's side.
After Tywin's death, Kevan opposes Cersei's grip on power, refusing the post of Master of War before returning as Hand of the King to Tommen at Grand Maester Pycelle's summons.
