Qhorin, known as Qhorin Halfhand, is a character in Game of Thrones, a senior and highly respected ranger of the Night's Watch based at the Shadow Tower. An elite scout who earned his name after losing most of the fingers of his right hand in a fight with a wildling, he was once a friend of Mance Rayder.
During the great ranging beyond the Wall, Qhorin took Jon Snow under his command and, after their capture by wildlings, engineered his own death so that Jon could infiltrate the free folk as a spy. He goaded Jon into a duel and was slain by him, whispering "We are the watchers on the Wall" as he died.
