Qyburn is a character in the HBO series Game of Thrones, a disgraced former maester who was stripped of his chain and expelled from the Citadel for conducting forbidden experiments on living men. Entering the service of Cersei Lannister, he rose to become Master of Whisperers on the Small Council and, following Cersei's ascension to the Iron Throne, her Hand of the Queen.
Reviled yet undeniably gifted as a healer, Qyburn treated Jaime Lannister's maimed arm and undertook his most infamous work reanimating the mortally wounded Ser Gregor Clegane into a silent, hulking enforcer. He orchestrated the wildfire destruction of the Great Sept of Baelor and armed Cersei against Daenerys Targaryen's dragons, before his own creation turned on him and killed him during the Battle of King's Landing.
