Lord Rickard Karstark is a character in the HBO series Game of Thrones, the Lord of Karhold and head of House Karstark, a Northern house sworn to House Stark and descended from it. A staunch early supporter of Robb Stark's bid for independence, he commits the bulk of his forces to the King in the North.
After the deaths of his sons in the war against the Lannisters, Rickard's grief drives him to murder two Lannister hostages, an act of treason for which Robb Stark has him executed.
