Silver Denys is a dragonseed — a commoner of Valyrian descent — who appears during the Dance of the Dragons in House of the Dragon. He is summoned from King's Landing to Dragonstone during Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen's call for new dragonriders, known as the Red Sowing.
Denys is the first to approach the great dragon Vermithor in an attempt to claim him for the Blacks. His attempt fails, and he is killed.
