Walder Rivers, known as Black Walder for his foul temper, is a bastard son of Lord Walder Frey who appears in the HBO series Game of Thrones. On screen the character is a composite of two figures from the source novels, serving as one of House Frey's most menacing enforcers.
He helped negotiate the Freys' terms with Robb Stark, personally cut the throat of Catelyn Stark during the Red Wedding, and later bungled the siege of Riverrun.
