Eldarion, whose Quenya name means 'Scion of the Eldar,' was the only son and heir of King Aragorn II Elessar and Queen Arwen Undomiel. Born in the first year of the Fourth Age, he succeeded his father as the second King of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor.
As a descendant of Elrond, Galadriel, and Earendil, he reunited the lines of the Half-elven, though he did not inherit their choice of immortality. In the film The Return of the King he appears as a child, portrayed by Sadwyn Brophy, in Arwen's vision of her future.
