Théodred was a Prince of Rohan, the only son and heir of King Théoden and Second Marshal of the Mark commanding its western defence. In Peter Jackson's The Two Towers he is portrayed by Paris Howe Strewe.
Mortally wounded fighting the forces of Isengard at the Fords of Isen, Théodred died at Meduseld and was laid to rest in a barrow outside Edoras, where Éowyn sang his lament. His death left his cousin Éomer heir to the throne of Rohan.
