Grimbold was a Rohirrim commander from Grimslade in the Westfold and one of King Théoden's captains. He distinguished himself in the Battles of the Fords of Isen, notably saving the body of Prince Théodred, and was later granted the standing of Third Marshal of the Mark.
He led the right wing of the Rohirrim host sent to relieve Gondor and fell in battle upon the Pelennor Fields. Grimbold appears briefly in Peter Jackson's The Return of the King, played by Bruce Phillips; his campaigns are listed in the Timeline.
