Dryden Vos was a near-human male crime lord who served as the public face of the syndicate Crimson Dawn during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Though he presented himself as the organization's figurehead leader, he secretly answered to the Zabrak crime lord Maul, the true power behind Crimson Dawn.
Vos rose through the criminal underworld during the Clone Wars as a member of Maul's Shadow Collective, eventually maneuvering his way to leadership of Crimson Dawn. From his Kalevalan yacht, the First Light, he brokered deals with the galaxy's elite, collected rare antiquities, and made an uneasy alliance with the Pyke Syndicate. He recruited the Corellian Qi'ra as his top lieutenant and trained her in the martial art Teräs Käsi.
A ruthless enforcer with the manners of a gracious host, Vos hired Tobias Beckett's crew to steal coaxium, a scheme that drew in the young Han Solo. When Solo and Qi'ra sought to deceive him over the refined coaxium, Vos revealed he had an inside informant, but the confrontation ended with Qi'ra turning on her master and killing him with a vibrocutlass.
