The Fifth Brother was a Force-sensitive male Dowutin who served as an Inquisitor in the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius during the Imperial Era. Large and physically imposing, he hunted surviving Jedi and Force-sensitive children on behalf of the Sith, answering to the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Vader and wielding a double-bladed spinning lightsaber.
He took part in the hunt for Obi-Wan Kenobi in 9 BBY and later pursued the rebels of the Spectres cell, clashing repeatedly with Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger. The Fifth Brother met his end on the planet Malachor during the confrontation among Jedi, Inquisitors, and the resurgent Darth Maul.
