Ser Laenor Velaryon is a knight of House Velaryon and a dragonrider in HBO's House of the Dragon. The first-born child of Lord Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, he rides the dragon Seasmoke and, as his father's heir, stands close to the line of succession for Driftmark.
Laenor becomes the first husband of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in a marriage both understand to be political, each free to love elsewhere. He is a loving father to Rhaenyra's sons and eventually escapes his public life by faking his own death, slipping away into exile in Essos.
