Jeremy John Irons, born in 1948, is an English actor and activist whose career spans stage, screen, and voice work. After classical training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, he starred in Shakespearean plays on the West End and won a Tony Award for his Broadway debut in "The Real Thing." His breakthrough came with the television series "Brideshead Revisited," followed by critical acclaim in films like "The French Lieutenant's Woman" and "Dead Ringers." Irons won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Claus von Bülow in "Reversal of Fortune." With a diverse filmography, including "The Lion King," "Die Hard with a Vengeance," and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," he has also earned Emmy and Golden Globe awards for his roles in "Elizabeth I" and "The Borgias," cementing his status as a Triple Crown of Acting recipient.
