A member of the Interspecies Medical Exchange holding a dozen scientific degrees, he brought an outsider's curiosity and unorthodox methods to his practice — famously keeping a sickbay menagerie of live creatures, from osmotic eels to a Pyrithian bat, for use in his treatments.
