Nute Gunray was a Neimoidian who served as Viceroy of the Trade Federation, one of the most powerful commercial bodies in the galaxy, and later as a leading member of the Separatist Council.
Ambitious and self-serving, Gunray fronted the Trade Federation's blockade and invasion of Naboo and remained a prominent figure among the leaders of the Confederacy of Independent Systems throughout the Clone Wars.
