Clone 99, known simply as 99, was a human male clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett bred for the Galactic Republic's Grand Army. Rendered genetically defective during the cloning process, he aged prematurely and was assigned to maintenance duty in Tipoca City on his homeworld of Kamino rather than serving as a frontline trooper.
Kind and devoted to his fellow clones, 99 took the struggling cadets of Domino Squad under his wing, and his encouragement of the trooper Hevy became a defining moment in the squad's success. When the Separatists invaded Kamino he took up the defense of his home and was killed helping resupply his brothers; the elite squad Clone Force 99, the 'Bad Batch,' was later named in his honor.
