R2-KT was a pink-plated, feminine R2-series astromech droid produced by Industrial Automaton, known for a compassionate personality and a sense of humor. She served the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars and, decades later, joined the Resistance in its struggle against the First Order.
During the Clone Wars, R2-KT worked in the Republic Navy alongside the 501st Legion, frequently stationed aboard the Resolute, the flagship of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. She supported campaigns including the search for Rotta the Huttlet at Teth, the rescue of Aayla Secura at Quell, and the breaking of the Separatist blockade at Ryloth. Generations later she maintained starfighters for the Resistance at its base on D'Qar and was present for the assault on Starkiller Base.
