Ansin Thobel was a human corporal of the Imperial Navy who served as a Death Star Trooper aboard the Empire's first Death Star. Primarily a sentry and squad commander tasked with station security, he was cross-trained in operational duties and sometimes manned a sensor suite.
Thobel operated the superlaser firing controls during the destruction of Jedha City and again when the Death Star fired on the Citadel Tower during the Battle of Scarif. He first appeared in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
