Bistan was a male Iakaru soldier who served as a corporal in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. He joined the rebellion roughly six months before the Battle of Scarif, having impressed Alliance SpecForce commandos with his marksmanship while helping them evade Imperial pursuers on his homeworld of Iakar.
Like others of his species, Bistan possessed exceptional spatial awareness, quick reflexes, and keen eyesight. A fierce warrior with a gregarious personality, he served as a door-gunner aboard a Blue Squadron U-wing, firing a door-mounted M-45 repeating ion blaster.
Bistan was sent to Scarif as a reinforcement during the battle to capture the Death Star plans, where he downed an Imperial walker before his U-wing was struck and crashed, killing him and his crew. He was portrayed by Nick Kellington in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Content adapted under CC BY-SA.
