Fives, whose clone designation CT-5555 (short for CT-27-5555) gave rise to his nickname, was an Advanced Recon Commando (ARC) trooper of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. A clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, he trained on Kamino as a member of Domino Squad and, as one of only two survivors of the Separatist assault on the Rishi listening post, was recruited into the 501st Legion alongside his close friend Echo.
Over the course of the war Fives served at the defense of Kamino, the rescue of Even Piell from the Citadel on Lola Sayu, and the campaign on Umbara. While attempting to take Ringo Vinda he uncovered the conspiracy of the clones' inhibitor chips and Chancellor Palpatine's connection to the coming purge of the Jedi. Branded a fugitive, he was shot and killed by Commander Fox on Coruscant, dying in the arms of Captain Rex; his warning would later help Ahsoka Tano save Rex during Order 66.
