Captain Rex
Star Wars·Galactic Republic·Clone Captain of the 501st Legion from Star Wars
Rex, designated CT-7567, is a clone trooper of the Star Wars universe — a Clone Captain and later Clone Commander who led the famed 501st Legion of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Grown on Kamino from the genetic template of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, he became one of the most respected soldiers in the Republic's army.
Serving as first-in-command to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, Rex formed close bonds with Skywalker, his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, and Marshal Commander Cody. Known for his tactical skill and his genuine concern for the clones under his command, he came to question the war and the directives imposed upon clone troopers.
After removing the inhibitor chip that would have compelled him to obey Order 66, Rex survived the fall of the Republic and later served the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.
