R7-A7 was an astromech droid who belonged to the Jedi Ahsoka Tano during the Clone Wars, serving in the astromech socket of her starfighters whenever she flew into combat. Loyal to Tano even after she left the Jedi Order, R7 remained at her side through some of the conflict's most dangerous engagements.
Following the issuance of Order 66, R7 helped Tano evade the clone troopers turned against her, assisting alongside the droids CH-33P and RG-G1 in capturing Clone Commander Rex so that his behavioral modification biochip could be removed. The droid was destroyed by blaster fire aboard the crashing Venator-class Star Destroyer Tribunal, but his remains were salvaged and rebuilt, eventually passing into the possession of the Martez sisters.
