Raddus was a Mon Calamari male who served as an admiral in the fleet of the Rebel Alliance. Long the mayor of the city Nystullum and an officer in Mon Cala's planetary defense services, he became one of the first Mon Calamari to join the growing Alliance, rising to command its naval forces as part of High Command.
Commanding from his flagship, the Profundity, Raddus led the Alliance fleet at the Battle of Scarif, ordering reinforcements to the ground team and breaking open the planet's shield gate so the stolen Death Star plans could be transmitted. He was killed when Darth Vader's Star Destroyer Devastator disabled the Profundity in the battle's aftermath.
