Rotta, known affectionately as "Stinky" and by his father's pet name "Pedunkee Mufkin" (Punky Muffin), was a male Hutt and the infant son of the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. He was born between 24 and 22 BBY.
During the Clone Wars, Rotta was kidnapped by the bounty hunter Asajj Ventress in a plot orchestrated by Count Dooku with the help of his great-uncle Ziro, intended to discredit the Jedi and sabotage Republic-Hutt negotiations. A Jedi rescue team of Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano recovered him from the planet Teth, nursing the gravely ill Huttlet back to health before returning him to Jabba.
